Delete your account

How to delete it

1. Open ChartPeak and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap your account at the top to open the account screen.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.
4. Prove it is you: enter your password, or sign in again with Apple or Google. A deletion is refused without this, however long you have been signed in.

The account on our servers is deleted first, then the local database is cleared and you are signed out. If the network is down, nothing is erased and you can try again, so a failed attempt never leaves you with half an account.

Deletion does not need a special request, a waiting period or an email to us. If you cannot get into the app, for example because you have lost access to the sign-in method, use the Report a bug option in the app’s Profile tab, or the support link on the App Store listing, and tell us the email on the account so we can verify it is yours.

What is removed

• On our servers: your account with our authentication provider, the identity you signed in with, your profile (name and account dates), your subscription record, any bug reports you sent, and any scan counters attached to the account. We also ask RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions for us, to delete its record of you.
• On your phone: the local database, which holds your journal, your saved reads and their images, your setup answers and your Academy progress.

Both are permanent. There is no server copy of your journal to restore from, so we cannot bring it back. If you want to keep a record, note it down before you delete.

What is not removed automatically

• Your subscription. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription, because the store holds it, not us. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play settings, or you keep being charged. The refund policy explains how.
• Purchase records held by Apple or Google. The store keeps its own record of what you bought, under its own terms.
• Chart images already sent for analysis. We do not store them. Google’s handling of an image it has already received is under its own terms.

Deleting the app instead

Removing the app from your phone deletes the local database, so your journal and reads are gone. It does not delete your account on our servers; that needs the steps above. An account left behind holds only a name, a sign-in identity, dates and a subscription record, and you can delete it later by reinstalling and signing in.
