Questions
What ChartPeak reads, what it keeps, what it costs, and the things it won’t claim to do.
What it does
What does ChartPeak actually do?
You photograph a chart, with the camera or from a screenshot already on your phone, and it reads it back to you: trend, bias, support and resistance, risk, patterns and indicators, plus notes on entry, exit and how long the idea should take. Nine sections, the same nine every time, so two reads are worth comparing.
How long does a read take?
About twelve seconds from the moment you confirm the crop. Most of that is the model reading the picture. You don’t type a ticker, pick a timeframe or connect anything first, so twelve seconds really is the whole wait.
Which charts does it work with?
Anything with a price axis and candles or a line. Your broker app, a TradingView tab, a screenshot a friend sent you, a photo of somebody else’s screen. It reads the picture, so the source doesn’t matter. Just fit the whole chart in the frame with the price axis included, because that axis is where the levels come from.
Does it work for crypto, forex, stocks and futures?
Yes, because it never asks what the market is. A chart is a chart: candles, a price axis, a timeframe if one is printed. Levels come back written the way your axis writes them, whether that’s 1.0952 or 64,200.
What happens if there is no trade in the chart?
It says so, and that’s the part most worth having. A chart can be range-bound, stuck mid-move, or simply too new to read anything from. A token with forty minutes of price on it looks exactly like a chart, and classical technical analysis happily names a trend and a target on it. You get a no-trade verdict instead, with what would have to change.
What is the Trader Score?
One number out of 100, built from four measures of your closed trades: win rate, profit factor, loss control and payoff. It stays quiet until you have ten closed trades, and between ten and forty it says openly that the sample is still small. Linking a read to a trade earns you nothing. It scores your trading, not your use of the app.
What is in the Academy?
Forty-seven reference terms, each written for the moment you actually run into one, and each carrying the thing it gets wrong as often as right. The RSI entry tells you it can sit above 70 for weeks in a strong trend. There are also chart puzzles that make you call the level yourself before showing you the answer.
What it will not do
Does it tell me what to buy?
No. ChartPeak is an educational tool, not an adviser. It describes what is on a chart and what a setup would look like, and it says exactly that on every screen that shows a read. It doesn’t know your account, your position size or your circumstances, and nothing it returns is a recommendation.
How accurate is it?
It’s a language model reading an image, and it can be wrong. It can misread a crowded chart, miss a level, or name a pattern that isn’t there. Treat a read as a second opinion to check your own against, never as the deciding vote. That’s why the disclaimer sits on every read instead of being buried in a settings screen.
Does it connect to my broker?
No. There is no broker connection, no account sync and no CSV import. Every trade in your journal is one you typed in yourself, which is why the app calls them trades you logged rather than positions. If you want something that reconciles against a live account, this isn’t it.
Does it place trades or move money?
No. ChartPeak reads pictures of charts. It has no connection to any exchange, broker or wallet, and no ability to move funds.
Does it show live prices?
No. There is no price feed anywhere in the app. Everything you see is read off the image you gave it, in that chart’s own numbers.
Your data
Where do my trades and reads live?
On your phone. Your journal, your saved reads and your setup answers sit in a database inside the app. They don’t sync between devices and there is no cloud copy of them. Deleting the app deletes all of it, and nobody can restore it for you.
Does the chart I photograph leave my phone?
Yes. That one image goes through our server to Google Gemini to be read, and it’s the only picture that goes anywhere. Our server passes the result back to your phone and keeps neither the photo nor the result. Your journal, your trades and your answers don’t travel with it.
Do I need an account?
Yes, once you’ve subscribed. You create one straight after the purchase, with an email and password, Google or Apple. It exists so the app can recognise you again after a reinstall and so scans can be counted per person. On our side it holds your name, your sign-in email and a daily scan counter. Nothing from your journal.
How do I delete everything?
Open the Profile tab, tap your account, and choose Delete account. That removes the account on our servers and clears the local database with it. Removing the app from your phone deletes the local data too. Neither can be undone.
Plans, limits and refunds
What does it cost?
Two plans: $7.99 a week, or $39.99 a year, which works out about 90% less than a year of weekly. Both are auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store. Cancel any time and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
Is there a free version?
No. Every read costs us a call to a paid model, so there is no free tier and no free scan. The onboarding walks you through exactly what a read looks like before you are asked to pay, and the price is on this page so nobody installs expecting free.
How many charts can I scan in a day?
Up to 60 a day per account, with a short-burst cap of 6 scans a minute. These are abuse controls, not a product tier. They sit well above what reading charts by hand looks like, and most people never get near them.
What happens when I reach the limit?
The app tells you which limit you hit and when it resets, and the rest of it keeps working: your journal, your saved reads and the Academy are untouched. The daily count resets at midnight UTC. You can’t buy past the cap, so there is nothing to upgrade to.
How do I cancel?
Through your Apple ID subscription settings, the same as any other App Store subscription. Your Profile tab links straight to that screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the current period ends.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, because Apple holds the payment. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple decides under its own policy. We can’t issue or refuse an App Store refund ourselves. The refund policy page has the details.
Is there an Android version?
Not in the store yet. ChartPeak is an iPhone app first. An Android build exists and is being tested, and the Google Play badge on this site says “coming” until there is a listing to link to. Join the launch list to hear when there is.
Still deciding?
The policies are short and written to be read: what happens to a chart you send, what you are agreeing to, and how refunds work.
Get ChartPeak
Snap a chart with your phone and get the whole read back in about 12 seconds: trend, levels, risk and the reasoning behind it. When there is no trade in the chart, ChartPeak says so.
