Doji
Open and close nearly equal: indecision
What it is
A candle that opens and closes at almost the same price, leaving a tiny body with wicks on one or both sides. Buyers and sellers finished the period roughly where they started.
What it may suggest
A pause. After a strong run it may suggest momentum is fading; inside a range it usually suggests nothing at all.
Where it fails
The most over-read candle there is. A doji in the middle of a range is noise. It only carries information at a level that already mattered.
Also called doji candle, indecision candle.
