Marubozu
Full body, almost no wicks: one-sided period
What it is
A long candle with little or no wick at either end. Price opened at one extreme, closed at the other, and barely traded against that direction.
What it may suggest
One side controlled the whole period. Often appears on a breakout or a news move.
Where it fails
A large marubozu leaves no obvious place to put a stop, so the trade it invites is usually a badly-sized one. Chasing the close is where most of the damage happens.
Also called full body candle.
